Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney will appear at a $1,000- and $2,500-a-plate luncheon this Thursday at a private home in South Pasadena, sources say.

According to a local businessman invited to attend, the event will start at 11:30 a.m. with a meet and greet followed by luncheon at noon.

The visit was confirmed by a woman who answered at the phone number on the invitation, which matches the phone number of Matthew Jubitz of Los Angeles.  Jubitz has a history of involvement in Republican party fundraising and formerly was the Los Angeles Finance Director at Romney for President, Inc.

The woman, who said she was not authorized to speak with the press, confirmed the event but said it will be private and closed to the press.

Republican Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich is scheduled to appear in Pasadena tonight.
