Alverno High School Kicks-Off Admissions Season With New Events

Alverno High School will offer eight different opportunities for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade girls to visit the 13-acre campus in the fall to learn more about Alverno’s academics and programs.

The first event of the admissions season is Visiting Day scheduled for Friday, September 21. Visiting Days allow seventh and eighth grade girls to attend classes at Alverno, participate in Alverno activities, and get to know the members of the Alverno community. Each girl is paired with an Alverno student who becomes her “buddy” for the day and answers any and all questions about Alverno and the high school admissions process. Subsequent Visiting Days are scheduled for October 5, October 26, November 9, December 7, and January 18.

In addition to Visiting Days, Alverno is providing a new opportunity to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade girls on Saturday, September 29 with Activity Day. Girls interested in attending will arrive on campus at 8:00 a.m. and will choose three different classes from Math & Science, English & History, Visual Art, Performing Art, Government, and Campus Ministry. The day will conclude with a prayer service and barbeque. Activity Day is a wonderful opportunity for students to get a taste of the extensive academic program and activities offered by Alverno.

Finally, Alverno will host an Open House on Sunday, November 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Prospective students and their families are invited to campus for a special tour including the historic Villa del Sol d’Oro, student panels, a meet-and-greet with faculty members, and so much more! It is definitely an event that you do not want to miss!

“At Alverno, we have been empowering exceptional young women for over 50 years and we would like to invite you to be an Alverno girl for a day and a lifetime,” said Ann Gillick, Head of School. “Join us for one of our admissions events and have the opportunity to meet our wonderful students, faculty, and staff and enjoy our beautiful campus. I hope you will be inspired and find that Alverno can empower you to be exactly the person you want to be.”
