Alverno High School Presents Godspell

Main Cast Back- Nicolas Hammond, Alessia Paciulli, Micah Sanders, Toby Bradford. Front- Cynthia Lee, Amy Aghajanian, Ciara Madigan, and Arianna Shafai

Alverno High School is proud to present Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak’s Godspell on April 25 and 26 at 7:00 p.m. the Lanterman Theater in La Cañada.

Told almost entirely through song, Godspell presents the Gospel of Matthew to a group of modern “hipsters” spending time in a city junkyard. Leaving their technology behind to connect with one another and the message of the Gospel, the musical takes its presence from the revised 2011 Broadway version with new vocal arrangements.

The ensemble of Godspell includes Alverno freshmen Emma Andres, Aja Gerardo, and Jackie Hischier; sophomore Jackie Molina; juniors Reagan Dowd, Madison Mennie, and Cassie Shima; and seniors Lindsay Fisher, Tracey Janzen, PJ Lakatos (St. Francis High School) and Lauren Moore-Sanchez.

The main cast of Godspell includes Micah Sanders as Jesus, Nicolas Hammond as Judas, and Toby Bradford (Marshall High School) as John. Alverno seniors Alessia Paciulli and Ariana Shafai along with freshmen Amy Aghajanian, Cynthia Lee, and Ciara Madigan star as lost “hipsters” learning life lessons from Sanders’ Jesus.

Presale tickets to Godspell may be purchased from the Alverno office for $12 and for $15 at the door at the Lanterman Theatre.

Alverno High School is located at 200 North Michillinda Avenue in Sierra Madre and the Lanterman Theater is located at 4491 Cornishon Avenue, La Cañada Flintridge.
