Alverno High School: Support Financial Aid in the “Adopt-a-Student Campaign”

Happy Holidays! It is the end of the year and time to make your year-end gift to those non-profits you hold close to your heart. Here at Alverno, students are getting ready to enjoy a well-deserved Christmas break with their families after putting in a lot of hard work during the first semester. Alverno prides itself on providing a top-notch, college-preparatory education for its students and it is through the generosity of our community – especially alumnae – that we can provide financial aid to those students who otherwise would not benefit from an Alverno education.

It is with this in mind that we are asking you to participate in the “Adopt-a-Student Campaign” as a powerful way to celebrate the education we received while we were students at Alverno… an education that has continued to serve us well after graduation. We want to continue to provide future generations with that same valuable education.

Who will you be supporting with your gift? One example of a student who has benefited from financial aid at Alverno is someone who is currently a senior on our campus. She is in the top 5% of her class, she is a member of NHS and CSF, as well as being active in Alverno’s student government as a member of the Supreme Court. She is involved in Campus Ministry, has participated in the drama productions as a member of the cast for three years, is a member of the Volleyball and Soccer teams, and enjoys being involved in a number of clubs on campus. This young lady has applied to colleges across the country including Boston College, Stanford University, the University of Notre Dame, Wellesley College, Northwestern University, New York University (NYU), and University of Pennsylvania, just to name a few. She has a bright future ahead of her and it is thanks to the charitable giving on the part of individuals like yourself.

We hope that you will consider making a donation to the “Adopt-a-Student Campaign”. Each gift, no matter the amount, helps to strengthen our alumnae support and is tax deductible. Make your gift by June 30, 2014 to be included in this campaign that will change a student’s life forever!
