Blair High Schoolers Sweep Awards in Annual Art Contest



First Place Winner Miguel Garcia, 12th Grade
2nd Place Winner Cristian Fabian, 12th Grade

First and second and third place in the Pasadena Martin Luther King Community Coalition’s Art Contest, high school division, were won by Blair student artists! Congratulations to Miguel Garcia, senior, Cristian Fabian, senior, and Fernando Vasquez, junior, who competed against students from all over the Pasadena area. All three are students of Blair art instructor Ms.Vilma Martinez.

As in the Pasadena Martin Luther King Community Coalition’s Essay Contest, students submitting artwork were to address this year’s theme question, ““Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of more humanity for all–what is your dream for America?”
