Pasadena’s John Muir High School has been awarded a $50,000 grant to establish an athletic training program to improve youth athlete safety in underserved high schools. John Muir is one of 15 schools around the country to receive the grant from the NFL Foundation, the National Athletic Trainers’ Assn, Gatorade and the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society after winning in the Athletic Trainer Initiative, a national grant contest to expand access to athletic trainers in underserved high schools and improve youth athlete safety.
