Featuring the talents of the middle school students, Cantatori, band and orchestra performed a holiday concert to kick off the holiday season.
Kindergarteners and first-graders learned about Hanukkah traditions this week. With the help of parent volunteers, they made and enjoyed latkes (potato pancakes) and played dreidel. Students learned what each side of the dreidel means, and all hoped their tops would land on “gimmel,” where the player wins everything in the pot.
Upper School musicians performed their Winter Holiday Concert. The evening featured the Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Music Ensemble, Orchestra and Jazz Band.
Sixth-graders recently performed their Greek myth sock puppet plays, much to the great enjoyment of parents and a few Lower School classes. The sock puppets were student creations representing Greek mythological gods, goddesses, heroes and other key mortals from these ancient stories.
