Coming to the Blair Bowl “Ovations 2015: From Stage to Screen”

Each spring Blair High School students present a stunning musical theatre production, Ovations. This year’s Ovations includes highlights from Hairspray, Oliver, Grease, Godspell and more.

The shows will take place Thu. April 30, Fri. May 1 and Sat. May 2; all shows are at 8:00 p.m. Ovations 2015 returns to Blair High School’s very own amphitheatre, complete with food available for purchase before the show. The Culinary Arts Academy will cater dinners.

Tickets are $10 each, available for prepurchase from any of the cast members or at the shows. Tickets are good for any one of the three performances. Tickets are also available for purchase online.

Ovations is directed by Blair choir and drama instructor Ms. Amanda Engstrom, assisted by Blair alum and theatre professional Ms. Kelsey O’Keeffe. Ovations students are inspired to reach high standards, assisted with professional sound and lighting. Come see our amphitheatre transformed!

The cast includes Blair students from 6th grade all the way to 12th grade. In addition to the IB Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma Programme, Blair offers the Health Careers Academy and Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy.

Ovations receives funding from the Blair LEARNs after school program, a Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts grant and others, but needs additional support. Encourage performing arts in public schools by being in the audience! These nights of musical theatre under the stars are the best entertainment deal in town.

Show support for Ovations by also purchasing an ad in the program! Dedication ads are also available. Ad prices range from $30 to $300 and are tax-deductible.
