Flintridge Prep’s Girls Varsity Cross Country Celebrates Historic Season

The girls varsity cross country team cemented its legacy on Thursday at the honorary bell ringing and the unveiling of its state championship banner.

Following Flintridge tradition, each girl, along with Coaches Michael Roffina and Jill Riehl, got to ring the bell on Jorgenson Patio, and then the banner was unveiled. The event celebrated the girls’ historic season, in which they notched Prep League, CIF-Southern Section and Division V State Championships. It was the first state championship for the school in any female sport.
