Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy: Neonatologist Speaks at Suegene Kim Assembly

On Thursday, March 29, Dr. Elvira Parravicini from NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia Hospitals in New York City spoke to students about her work with the sickest babies in the hours and minutes after they’re born.

Dr. Parravicini, a close friend of Assistant Principal Annemarie Bacich, spoke eloquently about the toughest cases she encountered and how she works with new parents to ensure that a child who’s facing tough odds is as comfortable and loved as possible. The Suegene Kim Assembly is held every year in honor of Suegene Kim ’01, who passed away following a car crash after her freshman year at FSHA.
