Generous Donations To The Foundation Critical To Balanced SMUSD Budget

The Governor recently announced a larger than expected State budget shortfall and the likely need for additional budget cuts. The reality of declining State funding for education leads to an increasing reliance on local funding for quality education at San Marino Unified. Generous donations to the Foundation remain a critical component of a balanced District budget and are key to avoiding cuts to programs and staffing. Many parents and community members have responded to this challenge with a donation to the Foundation’s 2011-2012 Annual Campaign, and we are getting closer to reaching our monetary goal of $3.4 million.

The San Marino Schools Foundation encourage all District parents to support their children’s quality education with a donation to the Foundation — The foundation cannot reach its goals without the help of the community. Please join the families in Carver Kindergarten listed below by making generous donation to the Annual Campaign. A donation by May 22 ensures a yard sign will be in the donor’s yard on May 30 signifying the family as a supporter of quality public education in San Marino.
