In-Depth Shakespeare Exploration in Clairbourn Middle School

In November of 2013, Clairbourn middle school students experienced Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night as performed by Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum. The show was expertly performed and captured the full attention of every student watching.

Students were very invested in paying close attention because later this year they will be performing the same play at Clairbourn. They have been studying the play in English class and were amazed at how the act of performing brings out the humor and the meaning in many passages that otherwise seem obscure due to the language.

After the show, the players stayed behind to answer questions from the student body about Shakespeare and about how to deliver a successful performance.
