La Salle Brings Miles To Go Drug and Alcohol Prevention Education to Freshmen, Sophomore & Senior Classes

Dr. Susan E. Keens, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist & Jonathan Scott.

Jonathan Scott, former stand-up comedian hosted his acclaimed Miles To Go Drug Education prevention program at La Salle High School on Sept. 17.

Jonathan and his wife Kelly have been successfully delivering their presentation for over 18 years, bringing real life addictions of their own to share with their audience, discussing the highs and lows of their lives and how it has been affected by drugs and alcohol.

Jonathan tackles what can be a difficult subject matter, but delivers it in a very light hearted yet easy to grasp format. Through a sometimes funny, but for the most part gripping slide show presentation, Jonathan delivers a compelling presentation on the dangers and pitfalls of using drugs and alcohol.

Through the vision of Dr. Susan E. Keens, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, La Salle High School has been offering this program to its freshman, sophomore and senior classes for the past 4 years, with great results. The students both enjoy and really seem to absorb the subject matter. The attention level at the presentation can only be described as “On High Alert.”
