La Salle High School Presents “Disco Inferno”

La Salle High School (LSHS) presents “Disco Inferno” on Friday, March 13 and Saturday March 14 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and runs through the month of March at Porticos Arts Space in Pasadena.

The classic tale of the soul-selling Faust is set to the greatest disco hits of the 1970’s.

If you love the 1970s, then you’ll love this riotous trip back to the decade that brought us flared trousers, platform shoes and glitter. In “Disco Inferno” the story of Faust is brought to life in an explosion of hit songs, high energy dance routines and glitter-ball spinning action.

Three words to describe this stylized musical would be “Faust with Flare.” Grabbing that jive old story and injecting it with groove, “Disco Inferno” is chock-full of the songs that defined a generation. Jack is an aspiring musician who wants nothing more than to be famous, so signing away this thing called a soul is a small price to pay. But Jack soon finds all that glitters isn’t gold on the other side, especially if you’re all out of love.

With its retro setting, “Disco Inferno” oozes nostalgia and inspires smiles to hustle their way onto audience members’ faces This sublime, more-than-just-a-jukebox musical boasts over 40 La Salle students in the cast and crew.

Seniors in the production are: Nate Chandler, Sinclair Daniel, Max Behrens, Tommy Moreno, Adrian Sanchez, Kennedy Gordon, Kayla Rix. Katie Sparks, Natalie Sirois, Melody Munson, Alyssa Villavicenzio, Lani Nugent and Jack Freiberger. “Disco Inferno” is slated to open on Friday, March 13th, a fitting date for a devilish good time.

A free Middle School Matinee is slated for Thursday, March 19th at 4:00 p.m. If you are a middle school student or teacher, come on down for a free afternoon of toe tapping entertainment as we celebrate the era of Disco.

Tickets prices are Adults, $15.00 and Students $9.00. Porticos Arts Space is located at 2033 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena. On the campus of St. James United Methodist Church.
