Maranatha High School Celebrates 50th Year Homecoming

Maranatha celebrated a special 50th year Homecoming recently! The campus was full of energy as the team prepared to take on Heritage Christian. Before the game, five staff members were honored for milestone years of service, and the cheer and dance team both dazzled the crowd with spirited performances. Lisa Bingman Wells, an alumna from 1982, sang the national anthem and Matt Marshall, Class of 1994, led the Football Team on to the field.

Alumni were the honored guests for the evening and enjoyed a special 50th year Legacy Lounge full of great memories and treats. During Half time, the 2013 Homecoming King and Queen, Nick Scanlan and Maddie Johnson, were on hand to crown this year’s King and Queen – Quarterback Eli Snyder and a school chaplain Brianna Johnson. The team played an exciting game against Heritage Christian and came out victorious in the 4th quarter with a 42-24 win.
