Maranatha welcomes Claudia Jimenez as its new Registrar in the College & Guidance Counseling Office. “I love to interact with students, teachers, parents – to communicate and serve and provide information,” she says. Her main role will be to provide assistance with grades, transcripts, guidance appointments, and general navigating of all things guidance related. She will have a unique comraderie with the parents entering the office as she is also the mom of a current freshman here, Sara Mendez.

Before coming to MHS, Mrs. Jimenez worked for seven years as a legal secretary and three years as a Registrar/Program Assistant for the Pasadena Unified School District. At PUSD, she was responsible for managing and preparing records and transcripts for all students as they left the district. Her office was also responsible for transfer permits and open enrollment.

Mrs. Jimenez is happy to be in a work environment with “a close knit community that loves God and serves families.” She is also excited to be able to share her faith. She grew up in a Christian household and committed her life to the Lord in her late teens. She currently attends a small Spanish-speaking church in Pasadena called Iglesia de Cristo Ebenezer where she and her daughter are active members of the choir. “I want to do His will,” she says, “that’s how I feel about everything I do.” She hopes through building relationships with students she will be able to share how God works in her life as the opportunity arises.

Mrs. Jimenez can be reached at c_jimenez@mhs-hs.org or (626) 817-4031. Please help welcome Mrs. Jimenez to her new role in the College & Guidance Counseling Office.
