Mayfield Junior School: Godspell Weekend!

Mayfield Junior School’s Class of 2015 blew audiences away this past weekend with four performances of “Godspell Jr.” Colorful, energetic and powerful – every moment was engaging and showcased both individual talent and the strong collaborative nature within each ensemble cast.

Two rotating casts and crews gave everyone a chance to shine both on stage and behind the scenes. It had been a long-time dream for MJS drama instructor, Lisa Byrne to direct “Godspell” and the deep bonds and eagerness to take risks shown by this class inspired her to not only bring “Godspell” to the MJS stage but to make it meaningful for the kids.

“Godspell Jr” will hit the road in May with special performances for communities and organizations served through our Reach Out program. Stops will include St. Francis Center, Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Dolores Mission School and even a concert at Pershing Square. Congratulations to the Class of 2015 for a job well done!
