New Horizon School Selected as One of 30 Grant Recipients to Jamba Juice ‘It’s All About the Fruit and Veggies’ Garden Grant

During this year New Horizon School is putting renewed efforts into expanding the NHSP grant writing program. NHS is pleased to announce that its was selected as one of 30 grant recipients out of almost 500 applications to the Jamba Juice “It’s All About the Fruits and Veggies” Garden Grant. The purpose of the grant is to incorporate nutrition education throughout the curriculum and sustain it for multiple years. New Horizon School is thankful to its Garden Committee, School Administration and Iesha Wadala, NHS garden coordinator, for their support and dedication.

The Student Council members recently visited the Peace Garden along with Iesha Wadala, the garden coordinator, and Fatima Cash, NHS Development Director, to plant the seeds received from the grant. NHS will be keeping you posted of its progress via its Facebook page.
