One Book One City Author Jacqueline Winspear at Gooden School



The public is invited to a One City One Book event to hear acclaimed author, Jacqueline Winspear, speak about her mystery novel featuring an extraordinary young woman living in England & France during the World War I era. Of this first novel, The New York Times review noted, “Be prepared to be astonished.” The book received both the Agatha Award and the Macavity Award for Best First Novel.

The One Book One City event will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, February 22 at The Gooden School, 192 N. Baldwin Avenue, in Sierra Madre. Reception will follow, and copies of all the books in The Maisie Dobbs series will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

The author event is free and open to the public, sponsored by The Sierra Madre Community Foundation, in partnership with the Sierra Madre Public Library.
