Panthers Enter Tournament Play Over Break



Varsity boys basketball is continuing its hot start to the season with two more wins over Cate and El Monte, which pushed their record to 8-1. They will have one more tune-up game at South Pasadena on Friday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. before competing in the San Gabriel Holiday Classic. They will tip off the tournament with a matchup against Torres at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26. Refer to the team page for the tournament schedule.

Coming off a 2-nil victory over Grace Brethren, the Varsity boys soccer team will begin preparing for the Ontario Christian Tournament. They will kick off at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, against Whittier Christian. Refer to the team page for the tournament schedule.

The Varsity girls soccer team is continuing its climb in the rankings—they are now ranked #4 in CIF-SS Div. 3. The Panthers are 6-0 including four shutouts thus far, two of which have come in the Bellflower tournament. They will continue their tournament run this Saturday against Northwood on Saturday, Dec. 22. Kick off is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Bellflower High School.

The Varsity girls basketball team have opened up Prep League play with a bang, notching two victories over Chadwick and Westridge. Their record now stands at 8-2 overall, with one more league game against Webb before heading into La Canada New Year’s Ball Varsity Tournament. Their tournament tip off is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 26, at La Canada High School against Village Christian, starting at 5:30 p.m. Refer to the team page for the tournament schedule.

Rounding out the holiday play is the #1-ranked Varsity girls water polo team that continues to roll through their schedule with their impressive undefeated record of 7-0. They have one more non-league matchup against Garden Grove before heading to the Western Water Polo tournament. The Panthers will be playing at Katella High School and have drawn Los Alamitos as their first opponent on Jan. 4 at 2:40 p.m. Refer to their team page for the tournament schedule.
