Paradise Canyon Elementary School National Digital Learning Day was A Success

On Friday, January 31, 2014, Paradise Canyon Elementary School students and teachers celebrated National Digital Learning Day. Throughout the school students were actively engaged in learning via technology, and highly engaged to say the least.

LCUSD has spent the last two years completely overhauling the technology infrastructure and device inventory to make way for 1:1 learning, and PCY is well on its’ way as we integrate technology in meaningful ways for students.

Paradise Canyon Elementary School celebrated National Digital Learning Day the last three years as one way to highlight what is already happening in the classrooms as well as an avenue to stretch lessons beyond the norm. Many classes invited students to bring in devices from home and to utilize the LCUSD student wifi connection to complete assignments, while others used classroom computers and iPads to blog, use education apps, and extend their learning digitally.
