Pasadena Cub Scouts Donate Library and Renovate Youth Care Room

On Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., Don Benito Cub Scout Pack 37 and the Pasadena Police Department will unveil the newly renovated youth care room in the Pasadena Police Department. The room is used by children victims who have come into the protective custody of law enforcement. The situations that result in children being placed in protective custody are emotional and scary.

Pack 37 wanting to make a difference in these young lives and took it upon themselves to renovate the youth care room, build a custom book shelf and fill the shelves with books and DVDs to engage the children with a positive activity. Their result is a beautiful, welcoming, and comfortable environment for children.

The event will be held Saturday, June 11, 10:00 a.m. at the Pasadena Police Department, Records Lobby (207 N. Garfield Avenue, Pasadena). Lobby doors will open at 9:45 a.m.
