Pasadena Unified’s Jackson Elementary Unveils New Dual Language and STEM Magnet



Jackson Elementary School in the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) invites prospective parents, community partners, and neighbors to the Jackson Dual Language STEM Magnet Showcase Friday, January 31, from 8:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Attendees at the event will have the opportunity to hear about Jackson’s unique programs, tour the school’s community garden, science lab, and computer lab and learn why Jackson is a great educational fit for area families.

One of four PUSD schools benefiting from a $7.9 million three-year federal magnet grant, Jackson Elementary School is undergoing a transformation into a Spanish dual language and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) magnet school. Families from across the district can apply to attend Jackson in the 2014-2015 school year through PUSD’s open enrollment process at openenrollment.info until February 6.
