Polytechnic School Summer Program to Start on June 17

PolySummer, the Polytechnic School summer program, is back with a second year and a wide range of classes. This year’s summer program will run from June 17 through July 26, 2013.

Polytechnic School said in its website that there will be two three-week sessions (June 17-July 5 and July 8-26). From language immersion in Italian, Mandarin, and Spanish for the very young, to robotics and experimental sciences, there is something for students in grades K-12. Also new for 2013 are AP prep courses in Biology and Chemistry, as well as in research skills.

“The offerings in writing and math have been enhanced by the addition of a range of courses tailored the particular needs of students. As usual, there is a bounty offerings in arts, drama, computers, sports, and skills enrichment,” Jon Fay, director of summer programs at Polytechnic School said in a statement.

PolySummer provides opportunities for students to grow and develop in a setting that values creativity, the pursuit of knowledge, and the joyful, innovative exploration of core disciplines. Students discover new learning experiences and areas of interest. PolySummer students are able to make use of the school’s exceptional programs, faculty, and facilities. Courses are offered to the greater Pasadena community on a first-come, first-served basis.
