Pro Sports Athletes Return Home to Support John Muir High School and Pasadena High School Athletics



The historic rivalry runs deep between Pasadena High School and John Muir High School however, alumni are joining forces to host the 1st Annual Birdie Tussle Golf Tournament. This fun tournament benefiting the athletic programs at Muir & PHS, will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Brookside Golf Course. PepsiCo is the title sponsor of this event.

Mustangs, Bulldogs and friends will tee off in competition to win the 1st Annual Birdie Tussle BELL. Many of the schools alumni who are former NFL, MLB and Olympic greats will be participating. Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf with beverage stations throughout the course. There will be a longest drive contest and a closest to the pin contest.

Tickets and registration for the event are available online at www.BirdieTussleGolfTournament.com. Individual Golfers are $150, Foursomes are $600 and individual luncheon tickets are $50. Golfers will receive commemorative t-shirts and goodie bags filled with treats from sponsors including PepsiCo, Frito Lay, Naked Juice and Tropicana.

To end the tournament, there will be a luncheon with raffle prizes including two LCD televisions! Following the tournament is the 67th Annual Turkey Tussle Football Game at the Rose Bowl, 7:00 p.m. kickoff.

Over 150 people are anticipated to attend this tournament. The goal of the tournament is to raise over $20,000 for the struggling athletic programs at both schools. It is through your generosity that the Bulldogs and the Mustangs are able to their successful athletic programs. The mission of the Birdie Tussle is to provide student-athletes support that promotes academic, athletic and personal achievement while maintaining school traditions.
