South Pasadena High School to Host 3 Sessions of PCC’s Pre-Assessment Workshops

South Pasadena High School will host three sessions of Pasadena City College (PCC)’s Pre-Assessment Workshops and Study Sessions (PAWS) for students preparing to take PCC Placement exams in Math and English.

These workshops are not the actual placement tests. First-time college students are required to take math and English/ESL placement exams to assist them in determining which courses to take at Pasadena City College. These preparation workshops will be led by trained PCC peer tutors who will provide online practice tests that simulate the Accuplacer (placement) exams. Study skills and important information on how to arrive well-prepared for the exams will be taught.

The PAWS workshops will be held on Tuesday, February 11th (8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) in the South Pasadena High School Library. Please sign up with Ms. Long asap during brunch or lunch. The last day to sign up will be Monday, February 10th.
