SPUSD Board of Education Appoints Christiane Gervais to Serve as Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services



On August 11, 2015, the Board of Education appointed Mrs. Christiane Gervais to serve as the District’s Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services. Mrs. Gervais comes to the South Pasadena Unified School District with expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and a wealth of experience in the classroom as well as the district office environment. She previously served as the Director of Assessment and Special Projects in the San Gabriel Unified School District for the last several years. Prior to her experience in San Gabriel, she served as the Coordinator of Special Projects and Professional Development for the Beverly Hills Unified School District. Her years of service in education have also included being a high school department chair, a private school administrator, and a high school English teacher. Mrs. Gervais holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles, a Master of Arts in English from California State University Northridge, and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Loyola Marymount University. She lives in Sherman Oaks with her husband, and will join the District on August 12th.
