St. Philip the Apostle Lego Robotics Team at the La Cañada High School Blockhead Qualifier Tournament

Saint Philip The Apostle School’s Lego Robotics Team competed at the La Cañada High School Blockhead Qualifier Tournament on November 18, 2012. After a very spirited day of competition, The Tiny Little Robotic Monkeys of Doom won the Champion’s First Place award trophy!

The Lego Robotics Team received high marks in all four areas of the competition: research project presentation, core values (teamwork) interview, robot design, and robot performance. The combined scores of these finishes put the team in first place overall. Our team also qualified as one of eight teams to go to the Los Angeles Regional Championships on December 15th. Every member of the team contributed to this great performance, which was the culmination of 2 ½ months of hard work since September. Team members are: Adrian Ballard, Gabriel Ballard, Emily Gray, Ethan Gray, Charlie Link, Ted Giardello, Tony Flores, Patrick Jackson, Will Sturgeon and Adrian Alvarez.

Thanks to the continued support of the team shown by parents, family and all our club members! Patti Flores and Tim Ballard St. Philip the Apostle Lego Robotics Coaches.
