The Music Man – Huntington Middle School 2015 Musical



Huntington Middle School is proud to present the 2014 musical production of Meredith Willson’s, The Music Man.

The skilled and talented students of HMS will perform the 5 time Tony award winning musical February 26th through March 1st. The show centers around con man Harold Hill, who poses as a boys’ band organizer and leader and sells band instruments and uniforms to the naive Iowa townsfolk, promising to train the members of the new band. But Harold is no musician and plans to skip town without giving any music lessons. Prim librarian and piano teacher Marian sees through him, but when Harold helps her younger brother overcome his lisp and social awkwardness, Marian begins to fall in love. Harold risks being caught to win her.

Auditions for will be held on Tuesday, December 2 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in HMS’ Room 109 and Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 4-6pm in Room 109 with callbacks on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 400 – 6:00 p.m. in Room 109. Students wishing to audition should download the attached audition form, bring the completed form to the audition with their own sheet music if the student is singing a song that is not from the show, and wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing.
