UWest Professor Recognized at the 11th Annual RBCC Small Business Gala Awards Dinner of Recognition

Special Congratulations to Professor Meskerem Tadesse, Director of Center for Minority and Small Business and full-time faculty of the University of the West Business Administration Department, for receiving “The 2015 Distinguished Leadership Award” at the 11th Annual Small Business Gala Awards Dinner of Recognition, held at the City Club – Los Angeles, on November 20th, 2015. Other distinguished honorees at the event included: The Honorable Los Angeles Council Member (former California State Senator) Curren D. Price, Jr. and former CA Public Utility Commissioner Timothy Alan Simon, Esq.

Prof. Tadesse was also presented Awards and Recognitions from the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, the California State Assembly, and the Los Angeles Regional Director of Small Business Administration.

UWest Bus. Admin. Dept. faculty members, Dr. Bill Chen and Dr. Chi Sheh, and a group of UWest students were among those that attended the Gala Dinner Event. In her acceptance speech, Prof. Tadesse recognized her UWest Students, who represented our University with grace and professionalism — This was a great opportunity to showcase the University.
