Vocal Conservatory Students Perform Concert for Residents at Santa Teresita

Mayfield Senior School students under the direction of teacher Andrew Alvarez performed ensemble choral music for the residents, duets and trios, then the whole group sang well-known Christmas carols together. The students were able to spend some time with the residents, then the group traveled the halls of the Manor where residents who were unable to come to the main hall for the concert were able to hear their carols and songs.

The program was set up with the Carmelite Sisters through the Knights of Malta, who also provided cake for the residents. Santa Teresita is an assisted living facility started by Carmelite Sisters in 1930. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to be out in the community and preform in a variety of venues. Most importantly, they were able to share their beautiful gifts from God in order to help everyone at the home get into the Christmas spirit together.
