The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library will hold its Fall Book Sale on Saturday, Oct. 4, offering shoppers the chance to fill a paper grocery bag with books for $5.
The sale runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the patio of the Friends Bookstore, 1500 E. Villa St., between Hill and Allen avenues. All purchases inside the bookstore will also be half price during the event.
The patio sale features used books, DVDs, CDs, LPs and a wide selection of children’s titles. Shoppers can fill a paper bag with books from the patio tables for the flat $5 price.
Proceeds from the sale support programs at all 10 branches of the Pasadena Public Library. Those programs include the Summer Reading Club, One City One Story, and observances of Women’s History Month, Black History Month, Latino Heritage Month, Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, and Native American Heritage Month.
Founded in 1975, the Friends of the Pasadena Public Library have supported library programs and services across the city for 50 years.
