A 94-year-old Pasadena man died following a vehicle-pedestrian collision Wednesday night, authorities said.
The incident occurred at 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez.
Officers responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found the victim had sustained major injuries, Perez said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and despite life saving efforts the victim succumbed to his injuries Perez said.
The other party involved, a 78-year-old man from Pasadena, remained at the scene. The Pasadena Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded and began their investigation, said Perez.
Neither man was identified by police. The investigation is continuing.
