Police said a 36-year-old woman wounded by gunfire was found by police officers responding to a ‘shot fired’ call in the 1800 block of Navarro Avenue Saturday morning around 11 a.m.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of the wound, according to Lt. Anthony Burgess.
The woman was uncooperative and refused to tell police what had led to the shooting, Burgess said.
Burgess said police believe the shots were fired from a black compact car which sped south on Navarro after the shooting.
