Pasadena Humane Society Unveils First Three Winners of 2024 Calendar Photo Contest

Pasadena Humane has announced the first three winners of its 2024 Calendar Photo Contest. The top vote-getters will be featured on a full month spread in the organization’s 2024 wall calendar.

The contest, which has raised over $37,000 for animals in need so far, saw a large number of participants.

The remaining nine month-spread winners will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced in the coming weeks, Pasadena Humane said Thursday. Winners will be notified via email.

The 2024 Pasadena Humane wall calendar is now available for pre-order.

The calendar makes a great gift for friends and family, with 100% of proceeds supporting the animals at Pasadena Humane, the organization said.

Calendars will begin shipping in the fall.

The contest offered pet owners the chance to have their furry friends featured in the calendar, as well as other prizes such as a custom pet portrait and their pet’s image featured on Pasadena Humane merchandise. All photo entries with five votes or more were guaranteed inclusion in the calendar or on the collage pages.

Here’s more information on the first three announced winners:

Federer

Federer was brought to live in his forever home by his mom who adopted him from Pasadena Humane. He has a brother and two sisters and is named after the great Swiss player, Roger Federer.

Velvet

Velvet was adopted from Pasadena Humane in 2022. She lives with her mom and two big sister cats who boss her around all day, but she likes them anyway. Velvet loves sleeping on her mom’s bed, cruising in the car, enjoying tasty treats, and taking long walks in her neighborhood.

Mochi

Mochi loves marching around the house and shoving things like chairs until they tip over and fall. Everyone jumps when he tips over the chairs; it’s pretty funny. Mochi enjoys going on family outings to places like Angeles Forest, the beach, and Joshua Tree, where he finds some great cacti to eat on those trips!
