Mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will dominate Pasadena’s weather Friday and Saturday, but forecasters say tropical moisture moving north from Baja California could bring showers and isolated thunderstorms to the region beginning Sunday and into early next week.
The National Weather Service said Friday that today’s forecast calls for a high near 87 degrees, with calm winds becoming southerly around 5 mph in the afternoon. Overnight lows will dip to about 61 degrees.
Saturday is expected to remain dry and sunny, with a high near 85 and light, variable winds. By Sunday, a weak trough off the California coast may begin drawing tropical moisture into the region, increasing humidity and cloud cover. A 20 percent chance of showers is forecast after 11:00 a.m., with a high near 82.
Humidity will rise as the moisture deepens, and precipitable water values could exceed 1.50 inches by Monday, supporting brief downpours in favored terrain. However, rainfall amounts are expected to be light and scattered.
The highest chances for precipitation are Monday and Tuesday, with a slight chance continuing into Wednesday. Highs will range from 82 to 87 degrees through Thursday, with overnight lows steady near 61 degrees. Temperatures are expected to remain near or slightly below seasonal norms.
The extended forecast calls for mostly sunny skies Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the mid-80s and no precipitation expected.
