South Allen Avenue at Orlando Road will be affected by lane closures and traffic delays all week starting Monday, July 20, according to a social media post by the City of Pasadena.

The intersection comprises Allen Avenue’s southern terminus and is the location of The Huntington’s main entrance.

Work will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day, from Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24.

The intersection sits at the southeastern corner of Pasadena’s Marceline neighborhood, near Pasadena City College. The city advised motorists to avoid the area for the week.

Separately, Pasadena Water and Power has scheduled overnight work on Fillmore Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Raymond Avenue during the same week, July 20-24, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., for a water main installation, according to the city manager’s July 16 weekly newsletter.

Residents with questions about city construction projects can contact the Pasadena City Service Center at (626) 744-7311, Monday through Friday.
