The City of Pasadena’s Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 6 p.m. in the Grand Conference Room at Pasadena City Hall, 100 North Garfield Avenue.
The meeting’s featured presentation will be an Active Transportation Workplan Update from Jenny Cristales-Cevallos, deputy director, and Nathan Schmidt, planning manager, both with the City’s Department of Transportation. The update is expected to cover the City’s plans for pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure and related mobility improvements.
Under action items, the Commission will engage in a Climate Action Plan exercise and discussion led by Staff Representative Lindsey-Paige McCloy. Commissioners will also discuss planning for an Earth Day booth and will consider appointing a representative to the Water Committee.
The EAC is chaired by Lauren Siegel (District 1), with Mark Sanborn (District 4) serving as vice chair. Other members include Laura Fleming (District 7), Ana Maria Almario Soulriver (District 2), David Cutter (District 3), Iesha Siler (District 5), Felix Breden (District 6), and Suzanne York (Mayor’s representative). One seat — the At Large/District 3 position — remains vacant.
The Commission’s six standing committees will also provide reports during the meeting: the Watershed and Preservation of Natural Resources Committee, Water Committee, Urban Design Committee, Environmental Health Committee, Transportation and Energy Committee, and Waste Reduction Committee.
The Commission’s next meeting is scheduled for May 12.
