All Saints Church’s Women’s Community will honor Director of Liturgy Melissa Hayes at a special “Voices from the Heart Luncheon Honoring Melissa Hayes: A Way with Music, Words and Faith” celebrating her quarter-century of service to the Pasadena congregation. The event recognizes Hayes’ transformation from congregant to staff member and her significant contributions to the church’s worship experience.
For over 25 years, Hayes has been a part of All Saints Church, initially joining as a congregant before transitioning to her current role as Director of Liturgy. Her contributions in this capacity have “blessed and inspired our church community with their thoughtful, inclusive, and often transcendent language.”
The celebration will take place Sunday, June 8, at 12:00 p.m. in Sweetland Hall at All Saints Church, 132 North Euclid Avenue. Hayes will share her journey to All Saints Church and the path that led her to the divine work of liturgical ministry.
Hayes brings a unique background to her religious work, combining an Episcopalian upbringing with experience from a nomadic military lifestyle. This foundation set the stage for her chosen career on stage and television, in film, and as a voiceover artist.
The luncheon will feature a delicious luncheon by Julienne’s of San Marino with wine included in the $25 registration fee. Scholarships and sponsorships are available for those who need financial assistance.
