The Rotary Club of Altadena announced it has established a disaster relief fund to support community recovery following the Eaton Fire. The club said it is now accepting grant applications from qualified nonprofit organizations seeking to assist Altadena residents, businesses, services, and charities affected by the fire.

Applications will be evaluated based on demonstrated need and potential community impact.

“In the wake of the Eaton Fire and in support of Altadena’s disaster relief and recovery efforts, the Rotary Club of Altadena has established a fund to provide support for immediate and long-term relief efforts through disaster response grants,” the organization announced in a press release.

Grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 are available exclusively to 501(c) nonprofit organizations. These organizations may sponsor projects by individuals, businesses, or government units, provided the projects are intended for and completed within Altadena’s unincorporated area.

While matching funds are encouraged, they are not required for application approval.

The club will review applications quarterly throughout 2025, with submission deadlines set for March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31. Projects that form part of larger initiatives are eligible for consideration.

Interested organizations can access the application through the “Restore Altadena: Rotary Club of Altadena Fire Relief Application Form” available online at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBAPeiIa2N2om9OZ83k3X4QQ2erj2GAqr0s5IL2D66gPavdg/viewform.
