The Altadena Sheriff’s Station and Los Angeles County law enforcement officials have initiated their yearly Christmas toy collection campaign, seeking new toy donations for underprivileged families in the community.

The station announced the charitable effort with enthusiasm on Facebook, emphasizing their early start to maximize impact. “Joy shared is joy doubled,” the department wrote, adding that “Starting early means we can spread more cheer and ensure every child experiences the magic of the holidays.”

Station officials invite residents to visit their lobby, where staff members will assist in “bringing smiles to children this season,” according to the announcement. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at 780 East Altadena Drive.

The initiative specifically requests new, unwrapped gifts suitable for children and teenagers between ages 2 and 17, with all collected items earmarked for distribution to Altadena families during the holiday season.

Donations will be accepted at the station’s main lobby through December 20, making it accessible for community members wanting to participate in the seasonal giving program.

Running concurrently, the station is partnering with the Altadena Rotary Club and Altadena Town and Country Club for its annual food drive, accepting donations through November 24 for Thanksgiving distribution to families and individuals in need.
