
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 13th time in the last 14 days Tuesday, falling 1.2 cents to $4.617.
The average price is 9.1 cents less than one week ago and 12 cents less than one month ago, but 10.9 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.877 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.072 and ended a streak of 19 decreases in 21 days.
The national average price is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, three-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 23.3 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped $1.944 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
