New arrival Bean Sprouts Café will make sure the food options for your trip to Kidspace Children’s Museum are healthy and inviting ones.
Bean Sprouts, described by the museum as “a hip and healthy concept where families participate in a playful eating experience,” opened Feb. 3.
“Kidspace is proud to launch this new partnership with a café onsite that aligns with our values of healthy living and playful, family experiences,” said Kidspace Chief Executive Officer, Michael Shanklin.
The idea is to give kids the information to make healthy choices and an “Immaginables” menu that makes those choices more inviting.
For example, a grilled cheese sandwich cut into a monster’s face and re-dubbed Grilledzilla, or an avocado-hummus veggie dipper, shaped like a crocodile known as the Crocamole.
Your child will be so busy charting the destruction of Crocamole’s face they won’t even notice they’re eating chickpeas.
Bean Sprouts was founded by Shannon “Peacasso” Seip and Kelly “Pea Brain” Parthen with a company philosophy to make healthy food fun for children and delight their parents with a happier mealtime.
Peacasso and Pea Brain have climbed to the top of the beanstalk, having shared their approach with former First Lady Michelle Obama and with mass audiences from platforms such as “Good Morning America” and “Parents” magazine.
Said Pea Brain: “Kidspace has BEAN on our radar for quite some time as my own children adore this museum and have made many trips up the Raindrop Climber. Kidspace is so aligned with Bean Sprouts’ HIPP (health, innovation, positivity, and playfulness) core values, so we know it will be a fruitful (and veggie-ful) partnership!”
Kidspace Children’s Museum is located at 480 North Arroyo Boulevard, in Brookside Park, Pasadena. Admission is $14 for all ages.
