
Pasadena residents will see a brief warm-up Wednesday before cooler temperatures and rain arrive Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said highs will reach near 81 degrees Wednesday under sunny skies before dropping into the low 70s Friday and upper 60s over the weekend. Rain chances begin Friday afternoon and continue through early next week.
On Tuesday, conditions will be sunny with a high near 79 and light southwest winds. Overnight lows will remain in the low to mid-50s through Thursday.
The National Weather Service said Wednesday night will bring increasing clouds, followed by partly sunny skies Thursday with highs near 78.
Rain is expected to begin Friday afternoon with a 20 percent chance of showers. By Friday night, showers and possible thunderstorms are forecast. Rain and thunderstorms are likely Saturday, with highs near 67.
Forecasters said rainfall totals could range from a half inch to one inch, with localized amounts up to 2 to 3 inches in heavier bursts.
Winds will remain light through midweek but may increase during storms, with gusty conditions possible in thunderstorms.
The weekend outlook calls for scattered showers Sunday with highs near 67. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s by Sunday night.
No advisories are currently in effect for Pasadena, but forecasters urged residents to monitor updates as the storm approaches.
Looking ahead, Monday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs near 70, marking a gradual return to drier conditions.
