Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) received the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Readiness Award on Monday, June 8, at a Pasadena City Council Meeting. The ZEV Award, administered by the State of California’s New Motor Vehicle Board (NMVB), recognizes California municipalities demonstrating exceptional progress toward ZEV Readiness.
ZEV Readiness is determined by the expansion of charging infrastructure, incentives for purchasing and leasing ZEVs, public education, innovative policies and more. PWP currently supports 13 public electric vehicle (EV) charging sites and features charger rebates for residential and commercial customers.
“Pasadena Water and Power is honored to receive this recognition from the New Motor Vehicle Board,” said PWP General Manager, David Reyes. “Pasadena continues to lead the way in electric vehicle adoption, and our programs and initiatives are a big part of that success. Every day, PWP is working on new ways to expand and enhance EV resources in our city, further supporting our community’s clean-energy future.”
