Caltech President Thomas Rosenbaum will be the featured guest on this week’s episode of “Pasadena Monthly with Justin Chapman,” airing Friday at 5 p.m. on Pasadena Media.

Rosenbaum, a physicist and the ninth president of Caltech, has led the university since 2014. He announced earlier this year that he will retire at the end of the academic year but plans to continue his research at his Caltech laboratory.

His career has included research posts at Bell Laboratories, IBM’s Watson Research Center and the University of Chicago, where he also served as vice president for research and provost.

“Pasadena Monthly is must-watch television each month for everyone who cares about this city,” said George Falardeau, Pasadena Media CEO.

The award-winning program is written, hosted and produced by journalist Justin Chapman, with direction by Jeffrey Stanfill and production oversight by Jasiri Jenkins-Glenn and Chris Miller.

Guests in recent years have included Rep. Judy Chu, Rep. Adam Schiff, Mayor Victor Gordo and JPL Director Laurie Leshin.

The show airs on Pasadena Media’s Arroyo Channel (channel 32 on Charter Spectrum and channel 99 on AT&T U-verse) and streams on YouTube, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku.

Chapman, who also hosts “Well Read with Justin Chapman,” has won multiple LA Press Club awards and earlier this year was a finalist in the Local Political/Government Reporting category for his work on “Pasadena Monthly”.
