Pair of Caltech Students Robbed by 2 Gunmen

Two Caltech students Caltech were robbed by two suspects who pointed handguns at them and demanded their property early Tuesday.

Pasadena Police Lt. Pete Hettema said the students were walking in the area of North Chester Avenue and Colorado Boulevard when the two suspects approached them on foot. The incident happened at around 1 a.m.

“Both suspects pointed handguns at the victims and demanded their property,” Hettema said. “The victims complied and gave the suspects their cellphones and wallets.”

Hettema said the male suspects, both of whom were black, entered a waiting vehicle driven by a third suspect and fled the area.

Police are now investigating and are seeking the help of possible witnesses to identify and locate the suspects.
