CAMPAIGN NEWS: Former State Assemblymember Dario Frommer Endorses Felicia Williams for State Assembly

Felicia Williams’ campaign for State Assembly announced a key endorsement from former State Assemblymember Dario Frommer on Tuesday.

Frommer, a resident of La Canada-Flintridge, served as Majority Leader and Health Committee Chair while in the State Assembly. He also served as chair of the California Transportation Commission and as a member of the California Film Commission.

“California faces tough challenges — rising crime, wildfires, inflation, and a housing crisis are impacting the San Gabriel Valley. We need leaders like Felicia Williams who will fight for our communities and for the changes we need,” said Frommer.

“I am honored to have the support of such a thoughtful leader like Dario and hope to continue his work to expand healthcare access and invest in our public infrastructure, policy areas that are near and dear to me and the community. I am thankful for his endorsement,” said Williams.

Frommer is known for his work in passing California’s first Urban Parks Program, which generated more than $300 million to help cities build more parks and open space. He also secured funding to preserve the last pristine stretch of the Verdugo Mountains, co-authored California’s landmark law to fight climate change, and wrote laws that lowered prescription drug costs and improved the quality of care at hospitals.

Frommer is currently a partner in an international law firm and serves on the boards of the Children’s Law Center, YMCA of the Foothills, and One Arroyo.

His endorsement is a boost for Williams’ campaign.

Williams is seeking election to Assembly District 41, which is an open seat in 2024. She has also been endorsed by current Democratic State Senator Anthony Portantino.
