ActiveSGV will host Chuck Marohn, founder and president of Strong Towns, in conversation with District 2 City Council Candidate Rick Cole about how to build better communities and safer streets for people.
The presentation will focus on presenting real, long-term solutions.
It is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Throop Unitarian Universalist Church, 300 S. Los Robles Ave. in Pasadena.

Cole is running to unseat Felicia Williams in District 2.
Cole served 12 years on the Pasadena City Council and served as mayor before the charter was rewritten allowing for an elected mayor.
He was appointed to the Planning Commission last year by Councilmember Jess Rivas. In 2021, Mayor Gordo appointed Cole as a special housing advisor to the Mayor.
Following his tenure in Pasadena, Cole served six years as City Manager of Azusa, nine years as city manager of Ventura and most recently five years as city manager of Santa Monica.
