Magdalena Prado [Casa Treatment Center]
Casa Treatment Center, a Pasadena-based treatment center designed to meet the needs of Southern California women in recovery, has hired Magdalena Prado as its new Director of Business Development and Community Engagement.

Prado has worked in both the public and nonprofit sectors, beginning her career as an aide to former U.S. Congressman Edward Roybal and Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina, according to a statement from Casa.

She also worked with the Los Angeles Unified School District to enlist the support of Southeast Los Angeles communities to build schools, and was part of a reformative team that brought good-government reform to the City of Bell following its 2010 crisis, the statement said.

Casa Treatment Center is one of the first treatment centers in Southern California specifically designed to meet the needs of women in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The center said it has been providing treatment exclusively to women in Los Angeles County since 1967.

A statement from the organization said the Center’s mission is to provide a home of hope, transformation, and recovery for women seeking help and support in their journey towards healing from substance abuse.

Casa Treatment Center’s approach is centered around a woman-focused program, offering individualized treatment plans to address addiction, trauma, and mental health disorders, the statement said.
